- Red Fox Agate from Argentina is among the most precisely formed agates associated with volcanic terrains. There have been now new finds for many years.
Over time, silica-rich fluids entered cavities within ancient lava flows, gradually depositing exceptionally fine layers of Chalcedony. Each band records a distinct stage in the stone’s formation.
Iron-bearing minerals incorporated within these layers later oxidised, producing the characteristic spectrum of reds, deep siennas and warm neutral tones that define Red Fox Agate.
Its compact microcrystalline structure and finely controlled banding allow the material to take an exceptionally smooth, glass-like polish. The colouration is intrinsic to the stone, while every piece retains a unique pattern shaped by its individual sequence of mineral deposition, oxidation and geological change.
