The specimen displays pronounced fortification banding in tones of brown, grey and cream, framing areas of druzy Quartz and botryoidal crystal formation within the centre of the slice. Variations in mineral texture, translucency and crystalline structure record multiple phases of mineral deposition during the formation of the geode.
Polished to expose the internal mineral architecture and mounted for presentation, the specimen emphasises the relationship between the banded Agate exterior and the crystalline Quartz interior.
