- This polished geode sphere from Brazil's volcanic deposits reveals the natural layering created over millions of years of mineral formation.
The sphere has been cut and polished to expose its internal structure: soft blue agate bands wrap around the exterior, transitioning through pale blue and white chalcedony. At the centre, a small Amethyst-lined cavity displays purple crystal formations against the lighter surrounding matrix. Natural fracture lines and subtle inclusions are visible throughout, documenting the geological processes that formed this piece.
The banding patterns are organic and irregular, characteristic of natural agate formation in volcanic gas pockets. The Amethyst cavity, though modest in size, provides a striking focal point with its darker crystalline texture.
