Aquamarine is the blue variety of Beryl, coloured by trace amounts of Iron incorporated into its crystal structure. Mozambican Aquamarines originate from granitic Pegmatites, where volatile-rich magmatic fluids concentrated rare elements during the final stages of crystallisation. These environments allowed large Beryl crystals to develop within cavities and fractures, often producing gem-quality material with exceptional colour and clarity.
