CITRINE POLISHED POINT

A beautifully polished Citrine point displaying a soft golden-yellow colour and exceptional internal transparency. Although polished, the piece originates from a natural Quartz crystal and retains the characteristic six-sided prism geometry and pyramidal termination of Quartz. The warm yellow colour is produced by trace amounts of Iron within the crystal structure, while the internal veils and reflective planes record episodes of crystal growth and subtle tectonic stress after formation. These features catch the light from different angles, giving the specimen a luminous, almost architectural appearance.

Citrine forms in silica-rich hydrothermal environments where Quartz crystallises from hot mineral-bearing fluids circulating through fractures and cavities in the Earth's crust.
