A distinctive pendant featuring a polished sphere of Chrome Diopside, displaying rich forest-green to deep emerald tones accented by subtle internal colour zoning. Chrome diopside is a Chromium-rich variety of Diopside, a Calcium Magnesium Silicate belonging to the Pyroxene group. The intense green colour is produced by trace amounts of Chromium, the same element responsible for the colour of Emerald. Unlike Emerald, however, Chrome Diopside typically forms in metamorphic and mantle-derived environments, giving it a distinct geological origin despite its comparable colour.

Russian Chrome Diopside is sourced from deposits associated with ultramafic rocks and ancient mantle-derived geological terrains. Chromium-bearing fluids and high-temperature metamorphic processes provided the chemical conditions necessary for crystal growth, producing gemstones renowned for their exceptional colour saturation. This pendant showcases one of the finest green gemstones from Russia, combining striking mineralogy with elegant craftsmanship.
