Heliodor is the golden-yellow variety of Beryl, the same mineral family that includes Emerald and Aquamarine. Its colour is produced by trace amounts of Iron within the crystal structure, resulting in shades that range from pale lemon-yellow to rich golden hues. The polished form highlights the gemstone’s vitreous lustre and natural transparency.

Madagascar is renowned for producing fine-quality Beryl crystals from granitic Pegmatites, where slow crystallisation allows large, well-formed gemstones to develop. The island’s complex geological history has created ideal conditions for gem formation, yielding Heliodor specimens prized for their clarity, colour, and natural beauty.
