Moldavite is a natural glass formed approximately 15 million years ago following a meteorite impact in Central Europe. The material developed through the rapid cooling of silica-rich terrestrial matter ejected during the impact event, producing its characteristic deep green colour and vitreous structure.
This pendant features an incredibly rare, polished Moldavite sphere mounted within a minimal 18 Kt gold setting. The spherical form emphasises the translucency and depth of the material, while preserving the natural tonal variation characteristic of Moldavite.
The contrast between the dark green glass and the restrained gold mount presents the material in a refined and minimal composition, allowing the geological origin of the specimen to remain the defining feature of the piece.
