A vibrant pendant featuring a polished natural Peridot from Pakistan’s renowned Kaghan Valley, securely mounted in handcrafted 18Kt gold. The gemstone displays the vivid olive-green colour characteristic of gem-quality Peridot, with subtle internal inclusions and variations in transparency that enhance its natural character and individuality.

Peridot is the gem variety of the mineral Olivine, prized for its distinctive green colour caused by Iron within its crystal structure. Unlike many coloured gemstones, Peridot’s colour is inherent to the mineral itself, producing shades that range from yellowish-green to rich grass-green. The smoothly polished form highlights the stone’s attractive translucency and vitreous lustre.

The Kaghan Valley of northern Pakistan is one of the world’s most important sources of fine Peridot. The crystals occur within ultramafic rocks formed deep within the Earth’s mantle and later uplifted through tectonic activity associated with the Himalayan mountain-building events. This geological setting produces some of the finest and most intensely coloured Peridot specimens known.
