ROSE QUARTZ
Rose Quartz is the stone of love.

Love for oneself, family, friends, the planet, and the universe. It teaches one the importance of loving oneself, as one is far more open to giving and receiving love from others once one has mastered truly accepting and loving oneself.

Love is important to human happiness and that of the planet; Rose Quartz encourages compassion, warmth, kindness, respect, understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness, helping one to connect with one’s heart and to see the beauty that is all around us.

It assists with releasing stress and anxiety, dissolves anger and fear, bringing hope, love, and joy.

CRYSTAL KNOWLEDGE -

Rose quartz is a variety of macrocrystalline quartz distinguished by its characteristic pink coloration, which results from trace inclusions of titanium, iron, or manganese within the crystal lattice. This coloration develops through complex substitution mechanisms often enhanced by natural radiation exposure over geological time.

Geologically, rose quartz forms in pegmatite veins and granite intrusions where silica-rich solutions crystallize slowly under high pressure at depths of several kilometers. Unlike typical quartz varieties, rose quartz develops as massive, anhedral formations rather than well-terminated crystals, creating its distinctive translucent appearance and soft internal luminosity.

The mineral maintains quartz's standard properties: hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, trigonal crystal symmetry, and density of 2.65 g/cm³. Formation occurs in late-stage pegmatitic environments where rare earth elements concentrate, requiring specific geochemical conditions for optimal color development.

The finest specimens exhibit exceptional clarity and color saturation, with subtle internal fracturing that enhances light diffusion.
