Rose Quartz is a variety of macrocrystalline quartz distinguished by its characteristic pink colouration, which results from trace inclusions of titanium, iron, or manganese within the crystal lattice. This colouration develops through complex substitution mechanisms often enhanced by natural radiation exposure over geological time.

Geologically, Rose Quartz forms in Pegmatite veins and granite intrusions where silica-rich solutions crystallise slowly under high pressure at depths of several kilometres. Unlike typical quartz varieties, rose quartz develops as massive, formations rather than well-terminated crystals.
