An exceptional pendant featuring a natural blue Sapphire crystal from Sri Lanka, preserved in its raw crystalline form and mounted in handcrafted 18Kt Gold. The elongated crystal displays delicate pale-blue colouration, natural growth features, and subtle internal inclusions that highlight its geological origin. The minimalist Gold setting secures the specimen while allowing the Sapphire’s natural structure and beauty to remain the focal point.

Sapphire is the blue variety of Corundum, an Aluminium oxide mineral renowned for its exceptional hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, second only to Diamond. While Sapphires are most often seen as faceted gemstones, natural crystal specimens reveal the mineral’s original growth habits, preserving features formed deep within metamorphic and igneous environments. The blue colour is produced by trace amounts of Iron and Titanium incorporated into the crystal lattice during formation.

Sri Lanka, historically known as Ceylon, is one of the world's most celebrated Sapphire sources, with a gemstone mining tradition spanning more than two thousand years. The island’s gem-rich gravels have produced some of the finest Sapphires ever discovered, prized for their clarity, brilliance, and distinctive colour. Natural Sapphire crystals from Sri Lanka are especially valued by collectors for their rarity, provenance, and direct connection to one of the most important gemstone regions on Earth.
