- Sodalite with white Calcite veining that formed when mineral-rich fluids moved through fractures in the stone after the Sodalite had crystallised. These veins trace the original fracture patterns, creating branching networks across the surface.
Brazilian Sodalite forms in nepheline syenite intrusions, where sodium-rich conditions favour its development. The rich indigo colour comes from Sulphur in the mineral structure, while the inclusions near the base likely represent associated minerals from the same igneous environment. The white Calcite veins represent a later phase of mineralisation, cutting through the existing Sodalite.
